This was our final idea for our magazine advert, which was originally going to be the inside left of our digipak. We then thought to change it to something much simpler as we knew that simpler can be more eye catching and readable. All the photo's used was taken the same time as our album cover shoot, which is why they look similar together. The idea of the photo reel came from the whole idea around our video. The girl is annoying the guy and this is shown in photo rather than the music video. We kept the same font as the album, again to link the two together. We also added some star ratings and a release date to make it look more realist.

We wanted a clear white background for the poster as it contrasted with grey background of the album cover. The first image was brighten on powerpoint to see how it would turn out but due to the people's skin turn much whiter than natural colour. After this set back, we used photoshop the edit the pictures and used the dodge tool to brighten the background but go around the actors so they would look natural.
This was our original poster idea, with some elements the same from the final image.We had more star ratings, the layout was much closer together making it look more cramped and we had a different band name which is longer then the final.
This is our final album cover, below being the original one, some of the art stayed the same like the disc, inside right and spine but the outside left and right as well as the inside left changed for the following reasons;

For the cover, we wanted to show off the singer as during that time,our actor was going to be singing as well but due to time changes we had to use other people for the singer but as we already had started the cover with Harry, we kept it with him. We used this image out of all of them because Harry was giving out a very happy look which was the feel we aiming for, plus mixing it with the black, dark clothes gave it more of a serious feel. We added the title name of the CD at the top of the album with the name of the artist smaller below as we studied and looked at other famous albums which had done the same. The whole design is very simple which is what we was aiming for but when getting feedback on what we could improve on, we had to make it more visually appealing so we used a digital drawing tablet to add doodles to the design. Because they was all hand drawn,they looked more informal which gave it more of a fun, exciting and young feel to the album which will appeal to younger audience. .
For the back, we did the same as when you turn the CD over, you would be looking at Harry's back and we felt it should reflect with the doodles. The back of the CD has the list of songs in a simple white colour which looks nice with the grey background. We also added the record label,copyright information and bar code to make it look more realistic.

For the disc itself, we used a photo of Jazz and Harry looking at each other. We decided to used to one with both of them as we wanted it to link back to the music video and for the people who had seen the video the album is named after, it will be familiar and will understand the facial expressions they are pulling. We included the track list again as well as the record label and copyright information around the edge of the CD.
